Autumn Leaves

For today's day of service, we worked with a local non-profit called the Sacramento Valley Live Steamers Railroad Museum. They operate 6,300 feet of rail line in Hagan Community Park for large-scale model trains in order to help preserve the heritage and history of the steam engine train. Every aspect of the models authentic, and our team had fun terrorizing the miniature towns along the tracks.

Our job was to rake the grounds clear of leaves, which is a daunting task in a place known as the City of Trees. The morning started off cool and foggy, which made for great, atmospheric lighting for my photos. It was really tedious work, but we did manage to get a whole lot done. We filled up an waste container to the brim and had more stacks we had to leave on the fields.

We managed to make the work enjoyable as well by jumping carefully into the leaf piles.
